METROLOGY OPERATIONS

Own the measurement-specific truth. Integrate the rest.

METRAXIOM's operations layer is being designed around controlled instrument identity, calibration state, interval basis, drift/stability, due/recall, procedures, evidence and certificates—without becoming a generic maintenance ERP.

No universal interval engine.

Calibration scheduling, drift analysis and operational automation support the quality system; they do not replace customer requirements, approved procedures, competent review or accreditation scope.

Controlled asset identity

Operations attach to the immutable instrument identity; they do not replace it.

Calibration program

A due date requires an explicit interval basis, approved method/procedure reference and responsible role. METRAXIOM never invents a universal interval.

Drift + stability

Trend observations preserve as-found/as-left context, units, range and uncertainty. A trend may recommend review; it does not silently change an interval.

Due + recall

Notifications derive from approved calibration-program state. Reminder automation does not create technical authority.

Procedure control

Execution references an approved procedure/version. Procedure changes require controlled revision rather than editing historical work.

Certificate + report

Reports are renderings of retained evidence. A PDF does not elevate a draft/review record into an authoritative release.

CMMS / QMS / LIMS integration

METRAXIOM owns measurement-specific evidence and status; broader maintenance/work-order systems remain integrated systems of record where appropriate.

INTERVAL BASIS

Due dates must be explainable backward.

NIST does not prescribe one universal recalibration interval. METRAXIOM therefore records the basis rather than inventing a number.
